NZME continues Wanaka expansion with Radio Hauraki and Gold
Continuing its expansion on the Central Otago airwaves following the purchase of Radio Wānaka earlier this year, NZME is bringing its popular Gold and Radio Hauraki radio shows to the South Island town.
The two stations will join NZME’s existing line-up of stations in the Southern Lakes region, which includes Newstalk ZB, The Hits, ZM, Coast and Radio Wānaka.
Janine Tindall-Morice, NZME’s general manager South Island regions, says NZME is thrilled to be expanding its local broadcast entertainment offering.
“With the addition of two very popular NZME radio brands in Gold and Radio Hauraki, we will be reaching an even broader audience in the region, which is not only fantastic news for listeners who will have more choice on the airwaves, but also for local advertisers," she says.
Gold plays your favourite artists and all their greatest hits. From The Beatles to Bowie, The Stones to Springsteen, Prince to The Police and thousands more.
For more than 50 years Radio Hauraki has continued to be New Zealand's rebellious, irreverent radio station that doesn't take anything too seriously - except for the music. Hauraki plays the best rock, past and present.
Wānaka listeners can tune in to Gold on 104.2FM and Radio Hauraki on 97.0FM from Monday 9 May. Or listen anywhere via the free iHeartRadio app.
