New Zealand Media and Entertainment's popular Coast radio host and Kiwi media icon, Toni Street, is launching Toni's Book Club LIVE in Christchurch and Auckland this April.
The two events will be held at Christchurch's Chateau on the Park on Thursday 4 April, and Auckland's Hilton on Thursday 11 April with Street accompanied by her fellow Breakfast show hosts, Jase Reeves and Sam Wallace.
Street will be discussing her 2021 bestselling autobiography Lost and Found: My story of heartbreak and hope. A story of love, determination, and incredible resilience; telling the whole story of her family's repeated heartbreak and how it has shaped her.
The hosts will also be joined by special guest authors, including former All Black Andy Ellis, Dame Susan Devoy, and Scriptwriter and debut novelist Gavin Strawhan, for an unforgettable evening filled with laughter, entertainment, and naturally all things books!
Street is thrilled to now be bringing her book club from the airwaves to the stage.
“I’m so excited for this event, ever since my book Lost and Found was published, I’ve been overwhelmed with people reaching out to discuss the book’s themes which include illness, grief and surrogacy. The live book clubs will allow me to talk about these things in person and connect with people who have had similar experiences. We also have an amazing line up of authors who I admire, and I can’t wait to hear their stories too,” she says.
Mike McClung, NZME’s Chief Content Officer – Music Brands, is looking forward to presenting another of NZME's renowned radio shows to a live audience.
“We had a brilliant response to Radio Hauraki's Matt and Jerry Live and ZM's Fletch, Vaughan and Hayley Live last year, it’s great to be able to deliver another live show to our audiences. It's going to be a fantastic night for Coast fans.”
Mark your calendars and gather your friends for an unforgettable evening with Toni Street, Jase Reeves, Sam Wallace, and their special guests. Tickets will be available via Ticketek from 12pm, Friday 15 March.
