New Zealand Media and Entertainment (NZME) is excited to highlight the return of Polly ‘PJ’ Harding to radio.
Harding is a well-known radio personality known for her dynamic presence on Australian and New Zealand airwaves, most recently as co-host of KIIS FM’s breakfast show with Jason Hawkins in Melbourne. After taking three years off the air, moving back to New Zealand and having a son, Harding has now joined The Hits Drive show in New Zealand alongside much-loved Kiwi television personality, Matty McLean.
The Hits is a classic hits radio station with dynamic nationwide breakfast and drive shows hosted by well-known New Zealand broadcasting talent. It also has local shows across all regions in New Zealand and forms part of the stable of NZME – New Zealand’s largest multi media company that reaches 9 out of 10 Kiwis+ across its digital, radio, publishing and real estate platforms. In the latest New Zealand GfK Commercial Radio Survey, the station hit record audience numbers since its 2014 launch, with an impressive 458,000 listeners*.
Angie Russell, NZME General Manager Agency and Direct – Australia, says Harding's return is a huge win for both listeners and advertisers, marking an exceptional opportunity to connect with a passionate and growing audience.
"PJ’s return is not just a win for radio listeners, it's a golden opportunity for Australian businesses looking to expand their reach into the New Zealand market. PJ's appeal in Australia, combined with The Hits' robust listenership, offers a unique platform for cross-Tasman advertising initiatives," says Russell.
Chris Rudd, NZME General Manager Australia – Customer Solutions, says: "We are thrilled to have a radio superstar of PJ’s calibre on board. This presents another excellent opportunity for our Australian advertising partners. Our dedicated Australian-based sales team can offer our agency and client partners unrivalled reach and engagement by partnering with New Zealand’s leading integrated media company."
Michael Boggs, NZME CEO says: “It’s been a fantastic year so far for NZME and for our radio and digital audio business in particular. Looking forward, supported by a hugely talented group of people on air, we will continue to increase our listener numbers, deliver revenue growth, inform and entertain our audiences, and provide the very best commercial opportunities for our customers.”
