ZM Podcast Network's award-winning Sex.Life podcast has reached a major milestone today as the fastest NZME original podcast to achieve 1 million downloads.
Over the course of two seasons, Somatic Sexologist Morgan Penn and ZM radio host Hayley Sproull have taken listeners on an entertaining journey, with Penn sharing her experiences from a rural New Zealand sex school and then venturing into the country’s vibrant kink scene. Their engaging and hilarious conversations on relationships, intimacy, and sexuality aim to normalise conversations about sex.
The grand finale of season two drops on Wednesday 24 April with a special ‘Ask Me Anything’ episode giving listeners the chance to grill Penn and Sproull with all their burning questions and dive even deeper into the juicy topics covered throughout the season.
Morgan Penn says: “Thank you to our listeners! The journey through the world of sexuality with Sex.Life has been a rollercoaster ride this past year. Guiding our listeners through moments that have been eye-opening for both them and me has been an absolute pleasure.”
“I've loved seeing how segments like ‘home play’ have been so well received, where I assign Hayley and listeners an at home task based on the theme of each week’s episode. Additionally, we’ve received incredible feedback on our ‘desires, fears, and boundaries’ tool, which has helped listeners engage in meaningful relationship discussions both in and out of the bedroom,” she says.
Hayley Sproull says: “It’s so amazing to be able to reach the 1 million downloads milestone. I feel like Morgan and I have achieved our goal of inspiring people to normalise these kinds of conversations. Thank you to our incredible listeners for making this possible, we can’t wait to answer all of their spicy questions in our final episode of the season.”
Sam Collins, iHeartRadio Content Director, says: “Our commitment to expanding our podcast audience involves crafting unique content that listeners love. It's rewarding to see Sex.Life resonate with our listeners, becoming NZME’s fastest podcast to reach 1 million downloads and I’m so proud of the team."
The final episode of season two will be available on Wednesday 24 April. All episodes of Sex.Life are available on iHeartRadio or wherever you listen to podcasts.
