With podcasts being one of the fastest growing digital media platforms globally, NZME’s ZM Podcast Network is living up to the growing appetite, today celebrating the launch of its latest podcast, Sex.Life.
Sex.Life sees Somatic Sexologist Morgan Penn and award-winning ZM radio host Hayley Sproull teaming up to normalise conversations about sex through a jaw-dropping ten-part series.
Throughout the series, listeners will be taken on a wild journey hearing what goes on behind the gates of a secret sex school in rural New Zealand. Each episode is a new day at sex school which reveals unorthodox exercises and interactions that provide a springboard for a discussion about sex and embracing sexuality.
ZM Content Director, Ross Flahive, says ZM has a proud legacy of providing Aotearoa with the best entertainment, and the expansion of its digital offering will enable it to continue to do so for generations to come.
“ZM and iHeartRadio are hugely excited to be adding Sex.Life to our ever-expanding podcast line up. We’re known for our great banter and guaranteed laughs, and we’re stoked to be bringing our listeners more of this content through this latest podcast. I know our listeners will love getting to know Morgan and hearing all about her wild experiences, plus they’ll uncover a different side of Hayley as the two of them share some of their most intimate experiences and stories.”
Morgan Penn says: “I can’t wait for listeners to join us on this journey as I share my experiences from sex school and guide Hayley with weekly ‘homeplay’ tasks to expand her sexual self. This podcast is not your usual passive listening experience, so listeners get ready!”
Hayley Sproull says: “There’s a hell of a lot that I’m discovering about sex for the first time with Morgan. I really hope listeners enjoy uncovering all the fascinating and juicy details, just as much as I did.”
Sex.Life is the ZM Podcast Network’s second new podcast launch of the year – a reflection of the audio brand’s commitment to establishing themselves as the top podcast network in the country.
Totalling more than 5.6 million podcast downloads* in 2022 alone, the ZM Podcast Network is home to some of the country’s top podcasts including ZM’s Fletch Vaughan & Hayley and ZM’s Bree & Clint - and will further bolster its already impressive line up through the expansion of its podcast offering across 2023.
Flahive says: “Through the ZM Podcast Network we’re committed to bringing ZM listeners more of what they love. Last month we released Jazz Thornton’s new podcast Hope is Real, which has already proven to be a huge success and today’s launch of Sex.Life will further build on our position as one of the top podcast networks in the country.”
NZME’s Head of Digital Audio, James Butcher, says podcasting is one of the fastest growing digital media platforms in the world and through NZME’s iHeartRadio digital audio platform, as well as across other podcast providers, NZME is continually growing its range of podcasts to match the demand.
“Now more than ever before, there’s an array of new opportunities for businesses to reach their desired customers through the strength that podcasting offers. It’s a hugely exciting time for the media industry and for podcasting both locally and globally,” says Butcher.
New episodes of Sex.Life will be released weekly on Wednesday on iHeartRadio or wherever you get your favourite podcasts.
